Soo for my first blog I would like to say "holy cow!". Why? I can't believe I am a mother of a 3 1/2 year old. Yep, and this almost 4 handsome little boy is playing soccer this Spring. When I found out that I was having a boy one of my first thoughts was "ohhh the sports he will play!". Now its time!
They say that soccer is the gateway sport.. which if he wants to play nothing more than soccer or if he wants to play ALL the sports I will be right there in the stands rooting for him.
Since he has been playing soccer not only has he made friends but he has learned alot. He has learned to play the sport (sorta), learning to take turns, learning to be apart of a team, and hopefully soon learns that it doesn't matter if you win or lose, which at this case he seems to think he always wins :) At the end of each game his coach presents every member a patch that represents how they played in the game! Where they fast? Did they have a turn over? Where they brave? It seems they all want the patch with the lighting bolt(being fast) and Jake got that the last game-he was super excited!
Each game I sit at the 50 yard line rooting for all the Tigers but especially my little Tiger. I'll never forget the first game as he was out playing I waved to him and he ran all the way over to give me a hug right in the middle of his game. :)
Needless to say...I am so glad I signed him up.
